Cattherine’s neutral room

It might seem that I embarked on a mission to get rid of pink and floral murals around my house: the truth is that I still love florals and, to a certain degree, pink but I’m quite fed up with the huge patterns I was once fond of.

The first room I tackled on my “revamping battle” was Catherine’s: my eyes really couldn’t bare the sight of those strong pink shades anymore and Catherine is always happy to change things around. I stripped the huge floral decals from the wall, removed the rather large pink carpet and opted for a more relaxed look, using natural shades and rattan.

For her bed I used a cream duvet set from Cam Cam Copenhagen, and I decorated the space around it using items from the sale range like the leave pillow and garland.
Lastly, Scandiborn had kindly gifted us the prettiest teddy shaped rattan basket which is perfect to keep clutter out of sight and the bunny mirror which is highly appreciated by both Catherine and Harvey.
The rose poster is a bargain find from a local charity shop which costed me only 3£, how I love these old little bits scattered around!
Fresh flowers are a rare treat but something Catherine loves so dearly, you know what they say: the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree šŸ˜‰

I’m very pleased with her room as it is and now I’m on a mission to revamp our own bedroom! The flowers on the wall are down already, I have so much in mind: think cosy, busy, quintessential British style as that’s my vision; I will keep you posted!
