I can undoubtedly say that I’m a dress kind of girl: I find them much more comfortable than jeans (always too tight or too lose in my case). Plus they come in any style so they are perfect for any occasion and your whole outfit is complete effortlessly with a single piece only.
This year, finally not sporting a bump, I wanted to get a red dress: one that would ooze Christmas and I could wear for the years to come. I fell for this lace and tulle dress, especially because of its lace up back detail. I’m a huge fan of bows: they make everything more special so I didn’t have a single doubt when selecting this dress. Can I get any more girly? Probably not.
I find red quite a difficult color to wear but it’s just perfect for this time of the year so why not give it a chance? Nothing is more festive than red after all…
I have paired my dress with a very old (almost 10 years!, I bought them when I just moved to London so they now also have an emotional value) but still much loved pair of heels from Kurt Geiger.
Yes, I’m baring naked legs! I don’t do it often as it’s freezing now but if I go out for the evening, (it’s very rare but it does happen) I rather not wear tights. Luckily a lot of girls in London seem to do it and no one pays attention to other people so I don’t get the stares (ahah); another reason to love this city!
It was by pure coincidence that Catherine had a very similar tulle red dress so she wanted to match and join the fun for some pictures while we were waiting to go out for a yummy Sunday roast.
We ate delicious meringues, drank loads of tea (fake one for Catherine) in the beautiful vintage China from Enjoy Coffee and More
and we felt like princesses for a couple of hours.
As moms, we often forget the importance of looking after ourselves but I promise that a new dress, heels and fresh blowdried hair will completely change the way you see yourself. Treat yourself a little this Christmas, you totally deserve it!
