Many of you might not know this but Charles and I met in London in 2010. It was love at first sight and we moved in together 4 months after meeting each other! In those first years together we used to live in Shad Thames. From the balcony of our small flat we could see part of Tower Bridge, the Shard, which at the time was just a building site, and all the shiny lights of London.
I treasure those years dearly and all the sweet memories that come with them: like going to Borough Market. A foodie heaven where you can find the freshest products and food from all over Europe.
I remember that as soon as we walked down the stairs, the smell of paella filled the air and that aroma is still there, together with many others. Going back there after almost 10 years, living in London again and pushing a very full buggy feels surreal.
If you are planning a visit to London then Borough Market is a must go, it only runs on Saturday in the weekend which is such a shame really. A visit is totally worth it, you can find so many lovely products and eat yummy street food or dine in some of the many restaurants/cafes that surround the market. I recommend you to go early as it gets so busy and not really manageable with a buggy.
If you are visiting then don’t forget to wear something cute as you are only a few minutes aways from Tower Bridge so I’m sure that you’ll want a picture there too!
London is still quite grey at the moment but, on that day, it was nice and warm so I dared to bare my legs. What a lovely feeling not to feel freezing and not wearing ugly stockings (I really hate stockings ahah).
The Glorius Sparkles Print Midi Skirt from Chicwish surely gives justice to its name: a truely glorious piece to add in your wardrobe. It’s so lovely and fresh and perfect with heels for a special occasion but can also easily be “dressed down” with a pair of trainers. Just add a t shirt or a blouse and you’ll be ready to impress whatever the occasion.
I have paired them with the Pure Pleasure Smock Top with Tiered Flare Sleeves in Ivory. I tend to buy long sleeve more often as the weather in London is (rarely) that hot unfortunately. Also the top is from Chicwish: a brand that has been in my favorite list for years now: it combines elegant trendy pieces for an effortless chic look and their prices are super tempting. To give the outfit a bit of an edgy twist I have combined it with a biker “faux suedette look” and love the end result. Mid heeled pumps are perfect if you are walking in the city and you don’t want to give up heels. However do take a piece of advice: bring some trainers too. You can easily walk for miles in London: it’s so beautiful!!
