This time last year the trees were fully in bloom, the sun was warm and we even dared to wear our first sandals.
This year the spring seems to be hiding somewhere far away, giving us a few brief hints of sun before throwing us back in winter again. Spring will arrive sooner or later so I’m trying to embrace that philosophy and look forward to it.
Luckily London has adapted a “fake it till you make it” attitude and floral arches are popping up everywhere. Yes they are fake but is that relevant? They make everything so pretty! London is not only about floral displays, it’s also about its pretty pastel houses, the hidden mews, the pink doors. Like this one, which has gained Insta fame and it’s truly so pretty! It hides just a few yards from Harrods, not a shabby location at all so if you want to go and have a pink picture then now you know where to head to. I wonder if the owner isn’t fed up with people constantly shooting on their stairs, it might well be that one day he’ll paint it all black to chase those “Insta lovers” away!
This is obviously not the only pink door in London, if you want to find more pink prettiness in the city then I recommend you to follow the Instagram account of Julie @londonispink, she surely knows the best places!
I went for a pastel pink outfit. After all, If you were to shoot an outfit in front of a pink door which color would you go for? (haha)
As usualy I’m wearing dresses, this time I forced myself to get a pair of trousers, what do you think? I love the length and the high waist which makes my legs look longer. I have always hated high waisted trousers until I discovered that they make you look taller and now it is LOVE between us!
I have paired them with a decadent silk blouse with lace details which buttons up with a bow because I’m such a bow person! 😉
I happened to have a faux suede biker jacket of the exact same color as the blouse and I have added a jewel bag from Top Shop. They really have the cutest selection of embellished bags and they are super affordable.
Lately I’m wearing heels a lot, especially in the weekend and this mid heels from New look are very comfortable! My Jewerly is from Lily and Rose, a Swedish brand that got in touch with me and was so kind to send me some pieces. I’m in love as their jewerly is so shining.
Now I have the outfit so please spring, hurry up, I’m ready for ya!!
Is your closet spring ready?
