Winter adventure with MONSOON

If you are to visit London there is a place that isn’t very touristic yet and that you should make sure to add to your list: the Albert Bridge that connects the buzz of Chelsea to the tranquillity of Battersea Park.

Built in 1873 this bridge has undergone several repair works due to its structural weakness, nowadays it’s painted in pink and green and lit by 4000 LED bulbs; all in order to be clearly visibile in poor weather conditions so to avoid a collision with boats. Funny fact about this bridge: after being closed for 22 months to motor vehicles for renovations works, it was officially reopened on the 2nd of December 2011 by two dogs named Prince and Albert from the nearby Battersea Dogs and Cat Home, that walked on the bridge. It is one of my favourite spots in London and surely the best place to watch the sunset: when the pink tones of the sky blend with the ones of the bridge and you can enjoy a spectacular view over London.

We rarely get to enjoy sunsets, with the kids going to bed early, so we make sure to savour as many of the beautiful winter sunsets as we can. We love to go for long walks, crossing the bridge and enjoying a walk in the park. Battersea is one of the best parks in London and offers beautiful sceneries through the year (P.S close to the main play area there is also an amazing pizzeria, you must try it!).

When the festive season is over, I feel a need to freshen up our wardrobes, ditching dark colours in favour of more spring ones. However the temperature is still rigid, as these are the coldest days of the year, so I must make sure that the kids are warm and cozy. Catherine picked two gorgeous coats from Monsoon to beat the freezing temperatures, while looking stylish and adorable. She loves all the little details of them: the faux fur neck, the sequinned ribbon and, above all, she was delighted to have pockets to carry her essentials: lip balm in particular (ahaha) she has quite an obsession with those and boasts quite a collection!

We really love Monsoon: every time we go into one of their shops Catherine thinks she is stepping into a princess world; she loves all the girly things and Monsoon has it all! Gorgeous dresses, cosy knitwear, shoes, accessories: it is every girls heaven!
