If you would have told to a younger me that, one day, I would be sitting having high tea in London with my kids, I probably would have shed a few happy tears. My love for British tradition goes way back and I don’t even know how I inherited it: it’s quite odd to be honest but I came to the conclusion that fate brought me here: where I belong.
Going back to high tea: it’s a ritual that I truly love. It is so cozy yet so elegant and one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon.
It’s so lovely to see that an iconic hotel like the Langham wants to make their little guests part of the experience as well.
We had the pleasure to be invited by the Langham to try their new high tea in partnership with Daunt book which is a unique experience for both adults and children. The kids can first select their own new book from a curated library before starting to enjoy some delicious food. The tea is interactive with jigsaw puzzles and the kids can colour the most yummy selection of treats.
Of course the adults are well looked after and can enjoy a selection of savouries, scones and patisserie created with seasonal ingredients. The sound of gran piano makes the experience absolutely dreamy and unforgettable.
N.B. Children’s Afternoon Tea with Daunt Books is available every day from 12:00 noon until 5:30 pm and costs £29.50 per child, while adults’ afternoon tea costs £62.00 per person.
